Horiyoshi III, Chris Garver, and Horimoto are just some of the tattoo artists that have inspired me to learn about the art of Japanese traditional tattoos. In addition to these talented artists, ukiyo-e woodblock prints have also provided insight into the history and mythology behind Japanese tattoos. The works of Kuniyoshi, Kyosai, and Hokusai have greatly influenced my designs. The examples set by these artists encourage me to create Japanese traditional and neo-traditional designs.
In addition to Japanese styles, I’m also interested in illustrative work. Inspired by many talented artists, notably- “Oozy tattoo”, I’m drawn to creating imaginative designs that are influenced by anime and nature.
As an artist, my goal is to make everyone feel happy and confident in their body. I want to become an artist that gives people of colour the confidence to get tattooed
